Coros Pace 4 vs Polar Pacer Pro
The Pace 4 costs $100 less than the Pacer Pro and still carries the stronger user rating of the two, a fairly clear value gap.
CorosCoros Pace 4
PolarPolar Pacer Pro
- •You want the better-rated watch for meaningfully less money
- •You have no existing ecosystem lock-in and just want the strongest budget pick
- •You have existing Polar devices or a strong preference for Polar's recovery tools
- •A specific Polar-only feature is essential to your training
At 40 grams with a bright AMOLED screen, dual-band GPS, and 41 hours of GPS battery, the Pace 4 punches well above its $249 price. A recent firmware update added offline maps, closing the biggest gap between it and pricier watches, while it still skips deep smartwatch extras to stay focused on being an excellent, lightweight training tool.
Pacer Pro upgrades the screen and adds training load and recovery pro features on top of the standard Pacer's foundation. It remains one of the lighter, more comfortable options at this price point.
