Coros Apex 4 vs Coros Pace 4
The Apex 4 costs $180 more for Coros's max-tier analytics and trail-ready durability, but the Pace 4 is the brand's highest-rated watch and a much lighter, road-focused pick at less than half the weight class.

CorosCoros Pace 4
- •You want max-tier training analytics and a trail-ready, multisport-capable case
- •The extra $180 is worth it for durability and deeper data, even at a lower user rating
- •You mostly run roads and want Coros's highest-rated watch for less
- •A lighter, simpler training-tier watch covers everything you actually need
The Apex 4 delivers much of what a Fenix 8 or Forerunner 970 offers for training depth and durability, at a noticeably lower price. Smart features are minimal by design, but the core running and trail tracking is excellent.
At 40 grams with a bright AMOLED screen, dual-band GPS, and 41 hours of GPS battery, the Pace 4 punches well above its $249 price. A recent firmware update added offline maps, closing the biggest gap between it and pricier watches, while it still skips deep smartwatch extras to stay focused on being an excellent, lightweight training tool.
