Amazfit T-Rex 3 vs Suunto Race 3S
The T-Rex 3 costs less than half as much and has calls, more battery, and 10 ATM water resistance in a rugged case. The Race 3S is lighter and more refined, with titanium, sapphire, and Suunto's training tools.

- •You want more battery and 10 ATM water resistance
- •You want a lighter, more refined watch with titanium and sapphire

The T-Rex 3 packs a 2,000-nit AMOLED display, dual-band GPS with offline maps, and 27 days of typical battery life into a MIL-STD-810G rugged case, all for a fraction of what Garmin or Suunto charge for similar durability. It won't match a Fenix's ecosystem depth, but as a budget alternative to the outdoor flagships, it's hard to beat.
The Race 3S takes everything that made the Race S a hit for smaller wrists and upgrades nearly all of it: a titanium bezel and sapphire glass, a 2,000-nit AMOLED display (up from 600), 38 hours of dual-band GPS (up from 30), 64GB of storage for free global offline maps, and Suunto's new AI Coach. The watch head weighs just 38 grams. It still skips a speaker, ECG, and NFC payments, and at $599 it costs a lot more than the Race S it replaces.
