The T-Rex 3 packs a 2,000-nit AMOLED display, dual-band GPS with offline maps, and 27 days of typical battery life into a MIL-STD-810G rugged case, all for a fraction of what Garmin or Suunto charge for similar durability. It won't match a Fenix's ecosystem depth, but as a budget alternative to the outdoor flagships, it's hard to beat.
The Fenix 8 folds the old Epix line into Garmin's toughest case, adding a speaker and mic for calls plus genuine smartwatch-level interactivity. It's an outdoor watch first, but the running analytics underneath are as good as Garmin gets.
