Coros Pace 4 vs Suunto Race S
Both are budget AMOLED watches aimed at small-wrist and value-conscious runners, but the Pace 4 holds a meaningfully higher user rating at the same rough price point.

SuuntoSuunto Race S
- •You want the better-reviewed watch between two similarly priced, similarly specced options
- •Coros' training platform and app already appeal to you
- •You specifically want Suunto's smaller case size and it's marketed as a small-wrist pick
- •You're already in the Suunto ecosystem from a previous watch
At 40 grams with a bright AMOLED screen, dual-band GPS, and 41 hours of GPS battery, the Pace 4 punches well above its $249 price. A recent firmware update added offline maps, closing the biggest gap between it and pricier watches, while it still skips deep smartwatch extras to stay focused on being an excellent, lightweight training tool.
Race S keeps the AMOLED display and dual-band GPS of the full-size Race in a case built for smaller wrists, at the cost of some battery life. Still one of the better values in the mid-range watch category.
*Estimated — this model's exact GPS battery life isn't published by the manufacturer. All figures are standard GPS mode, midsize case, no solar boost.
†Estimated — this model launched too recently to have an established customer rating yet.
