Garmin Forerunner 570 vs Garmin Instinct E
The widest gap in the whole lineup, a $549 smartwatch with calls and voice assistant against a $199 buttons-only watch on the basics analytics tier. If you're actually cross-shopping these two, the price and feature set could not be further apart.
GarminGarmin Forerunner 570
GarminGarmin Instinct E
- •You want real training-load metrics plus calls, mic, and voice assistant
- •The full smartwatch experience is worth the $350 gap to you
- •You just want accurate pace and distance for as little money as possible
- •$199 for the cheapest legitimate Garmin beats any smartwatch features
The 570 layers a speaker, microphone, and voice assistant onto Garmin's mid-range running watch, closing some of the gap with true smartwatches. It's a genuinely nice watch, just priced close enough to the 970 that it's worth comparing both before buying.
The Instinct E strips things down to buttons, GPS, and battery life, skipping the touchscreen and AMOLED glow entirely. If you just want accurate pace and distance without a training-load dashboard to babysit, this is the cheapest legitimate Garmin worth owning.
