Head to Head

Garmin Epix Pro (Gen 2) vs Garmin Fenix 8

Same price, same max-tier analytics, but the Fenix 8 is the current flagship and the Epix Pro is the generation it replaced, meaning the Epix Pro is the one you're more likely to find discounted.

The Full Story

The Epix Pro brings Garmin's full outdoor and training feature set into a bright AMOLED case. It's been passed over by the newer Fenix 8, but the software underneath is still excellent and often available at a real discount.

The Fenix 8 folds the old Epix line into Garmin's toughest case, adding a speaker and mic for calls plus genuine smartwatch-level interactivity. It's an outdoor watch first, but the running analytics underneath are as good as Garmin gets.
