Garmin Enduro 3 vs Garmin Fenix 9 Pro Solar
Both share Garmin's max-tier analytics, ECG, and dual-band GPS, but the Enduro 3 actually delivers more raw GPS battery life (90 hours vs. 32) at 21 grams lighter and $200 less, while the Fenix 9 Pro Solar counters with a smaller 47mm case option and Garmin's newest hardware generation.

GarminGarmin Fenix 9 Pro Solar
- •You want the longest real GPS battery life Garmin makes, at a lighter weight and lower price
- •You don't need a smaller case option or the newest hardware generation
- •You want a smaller 47mm case option or Garmin's newest software and hardware
- •$200 more is worth it for the latest generation, even with less raw GPS battery life
The Enduro 3 trades AMOLED brightness for a solar-assisted screen and battery life that laps every other watch on this list. Ultra runners and multi-day adventure racers are the actual target market here, not weekend 5K runners.
Announced August 25, 2026, the Fenix 9 Pro Solar swaps the Fenix 9 Pro's bright AMOLED screen for a transflective MIP display ringed with solar cells, stretching battery life to roughly 57 days in normal use and up to 291 days in battery saver with steady sunlight. Everything else, titanium case, 64GB storage, Elevate 5 sensor with ECG, speaker and mic, and optional inReach, carries over from the AMOLED Pro.
*Estimated — this model's exact GPS battery life isn't published by the manufacturer. All figures are standard GPS mode, midsize case, no solar boost.
†Estimated — this model launched too recently to have an established customer rating yet.
