Garmin Fenix 9 vs Garmin Fenix 9 Pro Solar
The base Fenix 9 costs $100 less and keeps AMOLED across the board, while the Pro Solar spends that same $100 on a titanium case, ECG sensor, and a MIP display built specifically to stretch battery life to weeks instead of days.

GarminGarmin Fenix 9 Pro Solar
- •You want to stay on AMOLED and save $100 versus the Pro Solar
- •ECG tracking and titanium build aren't priorities for you
- •Multi-day battery life without a charger is worth more to you than a bright screen
- •You want the titanium case and ECG sensor that come with the Pro tier
The Fenix 9 pushes display brightness to 3,000 nits while slimming down the overall profile with a full titanium bezel and rear cover. Adding 64GB of storage, 3D topo mapping, and dedicated rucking and endurance stamina metrics, it sits right at the top of Garmin's multi-sport lineup.
Announced August 25, 2026, the Fenix 9 Pro Solar swaps the Fenix 9 Pro's bright AMOLED screen for a transflective MIP display ringed with solar cells, stretching battery life to roughly 57 days in normal use and up to 291 days in battery saver with steady sunlight. Everything else, titanium case, 64GB storage, Elevate 5 sensor with ECG, speaker and mic, and optional inReach, carries over from the AMOLED Pro.
