Amazfit Bip Max vs Garmin Instinct E
The Bip Max costs $100 less and offers a large AMOLED screen, offline maps, and a speaker for calls, plus more GPS battery on paper (40 hours versus 24). The Instinct E brings a tougher build with 10 ATM water resistance, buttons-only control, and Garmin's ecosystem.

GarminGarmin Instinct E
- •You want a big AMOLED screen, maps, and calls for $99
- •You don't need a rugged build
- •You want a tough, simple watch with Garmin's ecosystem
- •10 ATM water resistance and buttons matter more than a big screen
The Bip Max is Amazfit's big-screen budget pick: a 2.07-inch AMOLED at 3,000 nits, 4GB of storage for downloadable maps and music, built-in GPS with up to 40 hours of tracking, and a speaker for Bluetooth calls, all in an aluminum-and-plastic case. It uses single-band GPS, has 5 ATM water resistance and no ECG, and the large rectangular case wears big on small wrists. It launched in May 2026.
The Instinct E strips things down to buttons, GPS, and battery life, skipping the touchscreen and AMOLED glow entirely. If you just want accurate pace and distance without a training-load dashboard to babysit, this is the cheapest legitimate Garmin worth owning.
