Coros Pace 3 vs Garmin Forerunner 55

Same price and the same training-tier analytics — the Forerunner 55 rates slightly higher, but the discontinued Pace 3 is still an excellent, lighter-weight option wherever you can find it.

The Full Story

Coros pulled the Pace 3 from new production, but it remains a genuinely excellent, no-frills running watch wherever you can still find one. If the price is right, don't let 'discontinued' scare you off.

The Forerunner 55 sticks to buttons and a simple display, but still includes race predictor, suggested daily workouts, and recovery tracking underneath. It's proof that a watch doesn't need AMOLED or a touchscreen to actually coach you.

*Estimated — this model's exact GPS battery life isn't published by the manufacturer. All figures are standard GPS mode, midsize case, no solar boost.

†Estimated — this model launched too recently to have an established customer rating yet.
